      The book marks my early life in Castlecomer and my connections with the Deerpark Mines, Kings Garage, Kilkenny Products and Comer Yarns. It chronicles how I coped with emigration to the Uk, how I encountered discrimination at a time when it was not popular to be an Irish immigrant and how I successfully integrated into a new society. However, Tom Lyng, of Kilkenny City, wrote a very good book entitled "Castlecomer Connections" which I purchased from him. I spent an interesting afternoon and evening with him and his wife while in Kilkenny. He was born and raised in Castlecomer and extremely knowledgable about .

      These items are recorded in a Reference Only book called Castlecomer Connections by Tom Lyng which is no longer in print.
